Repair of the Herman Monument, New Ulm, MN

The old boot placed back around the sculpture armature.
Note the holes cut for access to bolts, the patches, and the fact that others have trimmed the sole edge back so it no longer reaches the base, and that the cuff for the boot is missing.

Here I have started to add the folds that are present in the original pieces of Herman's boot.
